Hi everyone,

Is there a way to check if XGL is installed (properly)? When running in windowed mode, is it supposed to be like another desktop or a blank screen?

Thanks.

Hi, have you checked the XGL Howto at the Gentoo Wiki?

Yes, I have followed that guide. It's just that I get a patterned screen when I test XGL in windowed mode. I'm not sure if it's a configuration problem, an ATI driver problem, or XGL isn't installed properly.
