I am trying to setup a usb video capture card on my box.
I have installed Video4linux but this seams not to be enough

Can anyone help me?

ls /dev/video..
There is no video device picked up.

output of dmesg

[119014.920796] usb 5-6.1.4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

The chips on the actuall card

Hi,
I am considering to buy Easycap due to its price obviously. Did you succeed to make it work under linux?

It seems people have managed to make it work:

Have you got the right driver enabled in the kernel? Easiest thing to do is select everything under "V4L USB Devices" as a module, it should autoload the right one.

If you have the EasyCAP DC60 with USB ID 05e1:0408 and four input cables labelled AUDIO(L), AUDIO(R), CVBS, S-VIDEO and if you are willing to compile a kernel module from source code, there is a driver available at:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/easycapdc60/

The installation procedure is reported to work on Gentoo, with tweaks:

Yes, this is working on Gentoo, as I reported here.
