im running on a very tight "budget" in terms of disk space. i was wondering if theres a way to set portage so it will delete the distfile, and possible all the temp files it used to build it as soon as it finishes emerging.
thanks |

You might be interested in this if you want to remove the unused distfiles.
About the temp files, they should get cleaned if the emerge completes succesfully. _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |

thats not really what i was looking for. i remove all my distfiles all the time, to save diskspace, but i still cant do long emerges of 30 packages. i want them deleted as soon as that ebuild finishes emerging, to make space for the next. and i dont know what temp files you are refferring to, but theres usuallly a lot of shit in /var/tmp/portage/ after a bunch of emerges. |

Exactly. If the emerge completes succesfully it should contain only dirs and empty files, so no space wasted. _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |
