hi,
i was doing an emerge -uD world, with masked packages disabled, after i did an emerge -uD world including masked packages.
this started downgrading packages pretty nicely until i got a compile error on docbook-sgml
Code: | jade:/etc/sgml/openjade-1.3.2.cat:1:8:E: cannot open "/usr/share/sgml/openjade-1.3.2/catalog" (No such file or directory)
jade:/etc/sgml/openjade-1.3.2.cat:2:8:E: cannot open "/usr/share/sgml/openjade-1.3.2/dsssl/catalog" (No such file or directory)

now trying to run portage again gives an error message because it seems glibc has been emerged to a lower version, but python not, or something like that
Code: | python2.2: /lib/libpthread.so.0: version `GLIBC_2.3.2' not found (required by python2.2) |
any suggestions?
edit: fixed bbcode mistake |
