I recently installed Gento Linux on my DELL Inspiron 5160. I use both KDE and fluxbox 'desktops' installed and working.

The problems I encounter are the following:
Moving windows - depending on the direction of movement
Scrolling up using the UP arrow

When moving a window in some directions, the window won't repaint properly. I will get a cascading set of images of the same window, usually the upper left quarter of the window, overlayed on top of the window I moved. I have set the windows so that a window doesn't retain contents (only a rubber-band border shows) while moving. Prior to doing this, the window might be painted over with a solid blue color. Forcing a repaint using e.g. shade clears up the problem.

When scrolling up using the UP arrow, I will get the same line of text repeated endlessly in the window. This will also occur if I'm using the UP key and the cursor is on the top display line so that the window must scroll up.

I am posting to both Kernel & Hardware and Desktop forums as I don't really know where the problem lies.

Regards
