Hi,

is there anybody out who has booted gentoo on a FSC PrimePower200 correctly? I think i have a problem with the ramdisk.

Code:

Allocated 8 Megs of memory at 0x40000000 for kernelLoaded kernel version 2.6.15
Loading initial ramdisk (4821666 bytes at 0xC00000 phys, 0x40C00000 virt)...
%TL:1 %TT:30 %TPC:40004414 %TnPC:40004418 %TSTATE:9900001600
%PSTATE:16 ( IE:1 PRIV:1 PEF:1 )
D-FAR:0
D-FTR:f455 ( W:1 PRIV:1 ASI:45 FTYPE:f )

I have tried to remove some memory. I have tried to add the boot parameter mem=512. I dont`t know where i can get a prom update, so i hope anybody knows a workaround. This error happens on EVERY Linux. Solaris boots fine.

Code:

Fujitsu Siemens PRIMEPOWER 200 1x SPARC64 IV 602MHz, No Keyboard
OpenBoot 3.11 J , 512 MB memory installed, Serial #xxxxxxxx.
Ethernet address x:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx, Host ID: xxxxxxxx.
SCF Version: 3.3.D , RCI Version: 0001

I don't think the kernel supports Fujitsu's SPARC64 IV.
You might have better luck asking on the sparclinux mailing list.
