nice tool, are you the author?
If so, it's like "-scm" packages were never installed: plop just doesn't display them.
Can you fix it? :)
thanks

Not the author sorry. I was doing a google search and found it. I love genlop and it's the only tool I miss from portage. Though, I am slowly writing up an email to send to the paludis devs for a different idea that would just kick butt, but I need to think it through properly. :D

Ah great! I really missed genlop.

-scm works fine here though:
Code:
     Fri Jul 11 17:00:21 2008 >>> kde-base/kdelibs-scm:kde-svn
       merge time: 20 minutes and 2 seconds.

I just tested v0.2 and it doesn't seem to recognize -scm packages when they are compiling and you use the command: plop -c
It works for other things. :P

Paludis-extras site is currently down, due to the ligtning strike, that fried some cables and hardware. It should be back on line soon.

Sorry, for the inconveniences if you had any.

the update-eix hook 2.7 doesn't function due to the lack of the following file:
Code:

/usr/bin/update-eix-functions.sh

this file isn't present and should be a new file in the 2.7 version. maybe the author has forgotten to attach it in the installation file.

It seems to having been renamed to /usr/bin/functions-eix.sh

PostPosted: Tue Aug 19, 2008 8:14 am    Post subject: www.paludis-extras.org/setup.xml fails with "404-Not fo Reply with quote

Hi,

looks like there is a problem with the sub-page "www.paludis-extras.org/setup.xml" (as well as with all other "www.paludis-extras.org/*.xml" pages) as I always get a "404 - Not found" error message reported back by the browser.

As I am currently on the way to set paludis-extras overlay up, I would be happy if these pages would work again :)

Best regards,
Gumbeaux

@Mr.Gumbeaux:
Thanks for noticing, it should be working now.

It would be nice to have ionice support for paludis wrapper script to be able to specify something like ionice -c2 -n7.

paludis-extras.org seems to have been down quite a long time now. Has the address changed? Are there any mirrors around? Have I missed something? :S

The paludis-extras site seems to be up, but when I try to sync, I just get
Code:
sync paludis-extras> rsync: failed to connect to paludis-extras.org: Connection refused (111)
sync paludis-extras> rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(122) [receiver=3.0.4]

Since upgrading to paludis 0.32.0_alpha1, having a USE flag thingy like the following doesn't work anymore:
Code:
*/* PALUDIS_HOOKS: -* ask eselect <whatever>

However, it'd work if I'd change it into something like:
Code:
paludis_hooks_ask paludis_hooks_eselect paludis_hooks_<whatever>

Have I missed something?
