Squares instead of text in Firefox [SOLVED]

After a lot of updates last night (including Firefox 1.5 -> 2.0), when I try to download a file and Firefox asks me where I want to save it, I get this:

I haven't encountered this problem anywhere else on my system, including Audacious which seems to use the same dialog and yet appears fine:

Any idea how I can fix this little problem?

PS. Probably worth mentioning that I'm using firefox-bin here.

Have you tried any of the solutions described in the topic "Broken GTK "Save As" menu [SOLVED]"?

Thanks. Doing a "etc-update" solved it.
