I got KDE and its dependencies built and installed on my Gentoo system. I just happened to do a w when I had several konsole windows open. It didn't show any users logged in. Obviously something in wtmp is not being updated. Does anyone know how to correct this? |

konsole does not start login shells, hence they are not listed as users. Change your default profile to launch bash --login instead of bash and you'll be fine. |

That didn't seem to work. I even started bash manually with the --login option and the login wasn't showing up. If I start an xterm a login is correctly registered. |
