Could you describe the distortion and flickering?

Looks like you're using an nvidia card. Displaying to a TV, or on a monitor?

Have you setup any de-interlacing filters? Your souce should be interlaced coming from the PVR-150.

image seem duplicated and non interlaced, you can find a screenshot (sometimes an image is better than thousands words :) :D :) ) of the defect on my blog:
here http://markino.no-ip.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/02/mythtv_problem.jpg ( my Blog    )

I'm using an nVidia 6600 and i'm showing TV on a standard computer LCD Monitor.

i'have tried to setup de-intelace filters but without no effect...

Tnx

Hmm- interesting. I don't know of anything off the top of my head, but I'll look around a bit more tonight once I have some free time. Is it always the bottom half of the screen that has issues? Looks like it might even be more than one frame off too. Have you been trying any of the opengl vsync stuff?

As far as I know, most of the deinterlacers aren't compatible with xvmc, so that may be why it doesn't seem to change anything. I've seen reports of bob-deinterlace working, but it may need some tweaking first.

Also, does mplayer still playback correctly when using xvmc? (Of course, it needs xvmc support compiled in to work...)

In uscita... (Uscita)

my Tv resolution [720x576]... but my MythTv reproduction/recording resolution was 480x480 (i have found it under Settings -> Settings -> TV Settings -> Recording -> MPEG2-Encoders(PVR-x50,PVR-500) -> Default or Live TV)

8O 8O 8O 8O changing this Resolution seem to resolve the problem, no more flickering and distortion 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O
but the image quality is a little poor...
I think some filter, and audio optimization may solve definitively the problem...
