Hi there....
I've been around in this forum for some time now and allways have been helpfull for me.
Now, I'm having this troubles with emerge. This is some new installation kernel 2.6.19, fluxbox and common apps like opera, amarok...
The last thing I did, as far as I remember, was upgrade the system (using --update --deep --newuse) but is something that I'd other times and didn't give me this troubles.
I realize the --sync problem after I see that imagemagick didn't install (I don't know if they're related, I could post the imagemagick error also)
The error I'm getting with emerge --sync is this:
Code: | >>> Updating Portage cache: 24%Traceback (most recent call last):

I have done som researching about this matter but for now I ain't having much luck to find the answer.
If this is already answered here in the forum, I'm sorry for that, I search here, google, bugs and so on with no luck.
Any help will be appreciated

Thanks I really appreciated, I didn't notice you had answered my post but you're right, that did the trick...
After making this post, I'd keep looking on the forum and find that solution in this post
For the imagemagick error I found this post, in my case at least, worked as a solution.
Code: | MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge imagemagick |
I changed the title of the post so can be usefull for reference during search on topics.
The post can be closed
