Hi All.
So I got a new scsi card - an Adaptec 39230D (and I got a good deal on it too!). I am currently using an AHA2940u2w. The 39320D doesn't have the multichannels like the 2940u2w, so I will need to keep the 2940u2w for my plextor CD-rw and CD-rom. Will I have to change anything for CD access from this move?
Anyway, I figured all I would need to do select an option in menuconfig. copy over a kernel, and be done with it. Well, there is no kernel option!
So I look around in the forums, and found a post which gave a link to the source code from Adaptec. But, since the post was in Norwegian, I really couldn't get much else out of it.
So, how do I get the aic79xxx into my kernel? Is t here a way to compile it directly into the kernel, instead of as a module?
I'm using the 2.4.20-gaming-rc-1 sources, since I have an Asus a7n8x deluxe, and I needed them in order to get my on-board sound and networking going.
