Looking for a new wireless card from my laptop (PCMCIA, or mini-pci). I like trying to break into my own network, to see if it can be done. What is the best card/chips set for such a job?
I would like it to be 802.11b/g

Along with monitor mode, you'll want to inject packets too. My prism54 works, but the company that made it, Aerielink, got bought out or is no longer in business, so I can't recommend a specific card.

after searching a long time, i came across the NEC Aterm WL54AG PCMCIA card which supports WEP/TKIP/AES and a/b/g and has also an external connector for antenna...

this card is supported by all known "Pentest" tools...to break into his "own" computer..

also have a look at http://madwifi.org/wiki/Compatibility
