|
|
Hello folks!
I'd like to share with you this LiveCD I've been developing. Its quite lightweight, using the Fluxbox WM and the ISO is just over 300mb now.
A few features some of you guys may find interesting are how Conky was implemented, a friend of mine and I worked on a script to modify Conky based on what hardware is running. Still work in progress.
Likewise, I've designed an installer of sorts to install FLY to a hard drive. Its far from perfect, but it works!
Finally, a member drew up an idea to expand on the styles from Fluxbox, and out came StyleSwitcher. Its just a script, it'll change background artwork, Conky colours, and the Fluxbox style. Its a neat idea.
Anyways, as you can probably tell, I fail massively at upselling heh,
Take a look here http://www.linuxfly.net I hope you enjoy it
Cheers and thanks! |

The blue theme's conky is kinda hard to see due to its color, which is too dark. I suggest using lighter color in order to improve the visibility. On the other hand, the earth theme is pretty nice. Good job. _________________ CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo

Thanks. You have some interesting ideas in your project.
Screenshots: I like the colour scheme and wallpaper of the 'earth' theme. I agree with the comments above about the colour of the conky output in the 'blue' theme. Oh, and a nicer terminal font would be good. terminus, for example. |

Personally I find the blue theme is easy to view, as I tend to prefer dark coloured themes. Bright screens tend to burn my retina |
