|
|
I'm on ~x86 gnome w/ net-im/gaim-2.0.0_beta6.
I've noticed all through the 2.0 betas that it doesn't detect keyboard or mouse activity. When I first start or if I manually set myself to available, it just times out and I'm back to inactive/idle status. (Always great to have my boss seeing me as inactive!).
Any ideas?

| I have the same problem. I think on previous beta version I could choose X server or gaim for auto activity/inactivity. On my Windows XP with gaim beta4 ou 5 and I can choose to use windows or gaim activity/inactivity on gaim preferences. |

I checked through the preferences and didn't see anything close to that. My assumption is thta Gaim has hooks to get activity, but I don't see any configs for that.

In Gaim 1.5 its under
Away/Idle
Idle time reporting
I know 2.0 has the same options(I have used it) but they might be hidden. They are trying to make it simplier by showing less options. |

| There is a USE flag called xscreensaver that compiles code for gaim to get the keyboard/mouse from X server rather than it's own implementation. |

Worked for me too! _________________ If Windows is the answer, you don't understand the question!
