I have two 450MHZ processors ready to replace the two 360MHZ processors currently in my ultra 60. Should I assume this will be a simple swapout, or will this require everything to be recompiled. Also, are there any DIP switches on the ultra60 itself which would require changing?
thanx

I cant say about your Ultra 60 as I dont have one - but adding a CPU to an Ultra 2 was a breeze - only change was kernel compile for SMP. _________________ Toady

Other than adding SMP support into your kernel (if it isn't already there), you shouldn't need to recompile anything.
As for changing jumpers, you might take a look at the Ultra 60 Service Manual available from this page |
