Firefox download box empty despite active download!

As the topic reads my download box doesn't come up when I download something via firefox and when I open it there's nothing in it! This was also a problem in 1.5, I'm now using 2.0-r2 and still the same problem.

Suggestions appreciated

My guess is that your downloads file in your firefox profile is corrupt.... Try this: Exit firefox, go to your firefox profile folder (~/.mozilla/firefox/something.weird/), delete the downloads.rdf file and restart firefox.

According to http://kb.mozillazine.org/Downloads.rdf, the file will be recreated next time you start firefox. See if that doesn't clear up the issue.

You "guess" very well! It's now solved. Very nice since this has been an irritating problem for the last 6 months!

I had the same problem too but it's solved now...
