Hello ; )
I read and used all previously gaved tips about this case, I tried couple CD-R's (TDK, Verbatim, EMTEC) burned by me and my friend - and nothing.
My PC is hanging up on "copying read-write image contents to /tmpfs" ... It's copying, copying, copying ... then it stops and stands still doing nothing. Same CD's don't works for my friend. And it's impossible that both of us got problems with DVD-ROM (I even tried to run it in my DVD writer) also it's impossible that 5! CD's are corrupted. .ISO is OK if I should trust md5 checksum.
Do You have any NEW proposition what could I do? ; ) |

Maybe your memory is corrupted, did you run memtest86? How much memory do you have?
You can also use a knoppix/debian/ubuntu/redhat/whatever linux cd to install gentoo, at least ONE of them should work for you _________________ Black Holes are created when God divides by zero! |
