Umm, it's not there because you didn't put it there and you probably don't need it. If your card has graphics memory, and X starts, then it's being used. You usually would only need the ram option if X wasn't properly detecting all your memory or you were using an onboard graphics chip that shares main memory with the system. If you want to, go ahead and add "VideoRam 32768". It won't hurt anything. The choppy, slow video is due to something else. I don't know what, because it could be all sorts of things. Look through /var/log/Xorg.0.log to see which extensions and modules are being loaded, and post your xorg.conf. Also, what sort of video are we talking about here? A DVD?
