Hi,
Recently I went to reboot and all of the sudden, it seemed like it couldn't find my grub config. It dropped me to a grub shell and i had to manually boot.
So then I figured i'd re-install grub... so I emerge'ed grub and heres what i got:
Code: |
* Copying files from /lib/grub and /usr/lib/grub to /boot
end_request: I/O error, dev fd0 sector 0
end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0
...
Buffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0
...
|
fd0 is a floppy though, isn't it? I have no floppy... and mount shows nothing mounted as fd0
Any ideas what this is?
Thanks!

do you have a floppy header on your mother board ?
check your bios to see that floppy is turned off in the bios (even if you dont have one there may be code left in the bios for the floppy interface)
gotta love it _________________ print pack"C*",split/\D+/,`echo "16iII*o\U@{$/=$z;[(pop,pop,unpack"H*",<>
)]}\EsMsKsN0[lN*1lK[d2%Sa2/d0<X+d*lMLa^*lN%0]dsXx++lMlN/dsM0<J]dsJxp"|dc`
while [ 1 ] ; do echo "*" | telnet ip.of.print.er 9100 ; done |
