|
|
Hi there...
My box is running gentoo ~x86
Got some strange error from emerge:
Code: |
root@ADMINS den # emerge -up --deep world
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating world dependencies /
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "sys-libs/db-3.2".
!!! Problem with ebuild sys-apps/fcron-2.0.0-r3
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.
!!! Depgraph creation failed.
|
Then tried to figure out if there's some kind of local portage inconsistency and package database don't have information about what version of db is installed.
Code: |
root@ADMINS den # emerge -s db |more
Searching...
[ Results for search key : db ]
[ Applications found : 51 ]
skipped....
* sys-libs/db
Latest version available: 3.2.9-r2
Latest version installed: 3.2.9-r2
Size of downloaded files: 2,036 kB
Homepage: http://www.sleepycat.com/
Description: Berkeley DB for transaction support in MySQL
skipped....

Any ideas? |

Having the exact same problem.
emerge -up world works fine but with the --deep flag its broken. |

When I removed vcron from /var/cache/edb/world
Code: |
root@tindanos edb # emerge -upD world
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating world dependencies \
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "sys-libs/db-3.2".
!!! Problem with ebuild net-mail/sendmail-8.12.9
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.
!!! Depgraph creation failed. |
After removing sendmail to:
emerge -upD world works. |

That was not a fix.
No it´s working again by the way. I added a new sync mirror in make.conf and emerge rsync again and now is emerge -upD world working again. (used the norwegian rsync mirror
SYNC="rsync://rsync1.no.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage"
) |
