Hi,

I got i problem with pure-ftpd. I can't upload to my ftpserver.

I'm using the following User Manager as front-end: http://machiel.generaal.net/index.php?subject=user_manager_pureftpd
and as back-end i have a mysql database with virtual users.

I have created user X and set the chrooted homefolder with the front-end to: /home/X
And with the front-end i have also set the GID and UID to the one from user X. I thought that this option is to set the permissions.

But when i then connect to the homefolder i can't upload any files or create any directories.

Maybe that one of you guys know were to look to fix this simple problem.

Does pureftpd run as root?

If not, su to that user and try coping a file to /home/X/ - if it works it seems to be pureftpd's fault. You then might want to check /etc/conf.d/pureftpd for those values:
DISK_FULL and MISC_OTHER

You could also enable debugging ("-d" in MISC_OTHER) to see what pureftpd is doing when you try to upload something.

Thnx.. the default DISK_FULL property was the issue. Default it don't allow uploads when over 90% of disk is in use.
And in my situation i had only 3% available
