Hey all,

Does anyone know, or know of a list of all commercial Linux games, that are guaranteed to run on a 64-bit Linux install?

So far I know that Soldier of Fortune, Descent 3, Quake 3, UT, UT2003/2004 run in 64-bit. Any others that work? Thanks.

All games should work with the proper emul-linux-x86-* packages. Neverwinter Nights works, UT2004 works both native 64-bit and 32-bit, and Wine works. (Those are just the ones I personally use quite a bit.) Every game should work with the emul packages, though, like I said.

A great majority of the Loki games don't work... I own almost every Loki Games game produced and only Descent 3, Quake III, and Soldier of Fortune work, even though all of the emul-linux-x86-* packages are installed. This worries me because there are a few games that I might purchase from Linux Game Publishing.

Also the little hack export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 no longer works because glibc 2.5 has no support for 2.2 or 2.4 anymore, also due to that glibc no longer supports LinuxThreads. Appearently LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 requests the use of LinuxThreads, which are no longer supported by glibc.

Anyone know of working commercial Linux games, working with newer linux distrobutions and AMD64 (64-bit systems)?
