Hello everyone. 1st time at this end of the forums.
Have Cedega installed and trying to get some help but don't want to pay to ask transgaming for help :)

CMR v3 intro movies are wmv format. There are no Mindows Media Player codecs installed in Cedega so no play - only crashing.
The only way to get around this is to pass SAFEMODE onto the command line to bypass the movies. This disables sound which in CMR is crucial to have.

I have tried installing WMP 9. Doesn't really like installing in Cedega.
I have tried removing the movies from the Data/Videos/Frontend folder - doesn;'t like that.
I have tried converting the movies to raw avi - no worky.

Any ideas?

Edit: Actually, I the think the problem is it calls wmplayer to play the files so converting to avi is no use.

The best answer you'd get is from the Cedega forums, a subscription doesn't cost that much so I say just go get one.

That sounds like a great idea. I don't think there is a solution to this problem. I won't pay the subscriptions to confirm this.
No sound it is.
