How do I fix this?

bittorrent
>>> unable to setrlimit not allowed to raise maximum limit
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/bittorrent", line 183, in ?
from BitTorrent.GUI_wx.DownloadManager import MainLoop
File "/usr/lib64/python2.4/site-packages/BitTorrent/GUI_wx/__init__.py", line 41, in ?
assert 'unicode' in wx.PlatformInfo, _("The Unicode versions of wx and wxPython are required")
AssertionError: The Unicode versions of wx and wxPython are required

It all emerged properly. :-(

I see that you're not using unicode.

What is the output of emerge -pv wxGTK? Is unicode enabled? If not, you might want to switch your system over to unicode: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Make_your_system_use_unicode/utf-8
