HI! I have no idea why my wireless card (broadcom) is named "eth1_rename" :( I have tried to write udev rule to rename it, tried to commed this rule - no effect! there is always eth1_rename ! :( with normal wired interface this udev rule works great. WTF? :S

I've heard of an issue with this with wireless nics that require firmware loading. See if this thread helps you:
