My problem is the SE551 Router from Siemens...
On this router can be a external hdd connected (to share files)
With my second PC (windows XP) i am able to see and write on the share
But when want to connect GENTOO i get some strange errors...

SMBCLIENT gives me this:
vaio mnt # smbclient -L 192.168.0.1
Password:xxxx

Sharename Type Comment
--------- ---- -------
TREK_300 Disk TREK_300
IPC$ IPC Remote Inter Process Communication

Server Comment
--------- -------
LAN TREKSTOR

Workgroup Master
--------- -------
LAN TREKSTOR

Mounting is no Problem...

vaio mnt # mount /mnt/SAMBA/
vaio mnt #

DF -h gives also no error...
vaio mnt # df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda3 9.2G 4.0G 4.8G 46% /
udev 252M 168K 252M 1% /dev
/dev/hda4 64G 51G 9.3G 85% /home
shm 252M 0 252M 0% /dev/shm
//192.168.0.1/TREK_300
280G 16G 265G 6% /mnt/SAMBA
vaio mnt #

i can even change to the path...
vaio mnt # cd /mnt/SAMBA
vaio SAMBA #

but when i want to list the directory i get this error
vaio SAMBA # ls
ls: .: Input/output error

I've no clue what to do....
my fstab:
//192.168.0.1/TREK_300 /mnt/SAMBA smbfs noauto,users,username=xxx,password=yyyy,rw,uid=user,gid=user 0 0

look for any useful information in the output of dmesg. You may post anything you feel relevant here, and someone should be able to help

Hi, have you found a solution yet?
I have the same problem with my Siemens SE555. I have tried different PCs with different samba versions but nothing has worked. It seems that I can connect to the Router with smbclient, I can even create folders and upload files, but I can't see them or download the files again. When I try I get the same error message:

smb_errno: class ERRSRV, code 64 from command 0x32

Does anyone know what the Code means?
