Ebuild works, but Scribes crashes when trying to open or save a document. I'm running ~x86 with gnome 2.16.

I'll reinstall gentoo and try to see if I can reproduce the bug.

Hello,

After installing Gentoo, I found the reason for the crashes. The version
of D-Bus in Gentoo is too old to run Scribes, thus the crashes. The
brave can unmask the new version of D-Bus, run revdep-rebuild and
install Scribes. The ebuild has been updated to use the new version.
Sorry for the trouble.

Cheers

As I saw the flash demo of this editor is was very impressed but the tons of gnome stuff scared me.
Else this would be one of my favourite editors, may the favourite editor for me. What a shame...
But great work you are doing there!

It looks like you are using Python 2.5. Most bindings don't support it yet. Can you reproduce the error with Python 2.4?

Try the following:
Code:

revdep-rebuild
python-updater

And try again.

revdep-rebuild fails when rebuilding OpenOffice so when I finish my exams I'll try to fix everything. Thanks anyway.
