hp color laserjet 1600 bad print-quality

hi

i got a hp color laserjet 1600, and it works perfectly with
text, but a color-laserjet should work with pictures, too, i think...

color-pictures and graphics have a strange raster in the pictures,
in the pictures color, though..

what can be wrong here?
