Hallo zusammen!

Vor einiger Zeit musste ich feststellenm das die Option "-g" bei den Befehlen cp und mv weg sind.
Weiß jemand wieso weshalb warum?
Ich habe die Fortschrittsanzeige geliebt.

Vlt. um standardkonform zu sein? "-g" war ja eh nur reingepatcht...

Hi,

das war offenbar ein Gentoo-eigener Patch, der von den coreutils-Entwicklern nicht übernommen wurde. Da bei Gentoo ja die Regel gilt, Patches nur dann in ein Paket aufzunehmen, wenn der "Upstream" den Patch absegnet/akzeptiert, ist dieser Patch rausgeflogen.

Dann wird es wohl zeit für ein Overlay! Ich finde die -g Option auch richtig gut!

Der Große unterschied zwischen "macht man sichs halt selber" und Gentoo sind ja emerge, das baselayout und die gentoo-patches.

Von dem her gebe ich Anarcho recht, dass es ein Overlay geben wird.
