Hi guys,
The new nvidia drivers are up, and I'm trying to start emerald.
If I run 'emerald' I get:
Quote: | emerald: Screen 0 on display ":0.0" already has a decoration manager; try using the --replace option to replace the current decoration manager.
|
(As expected since metacity is already up..)
However, running 'emerald --replace', there is *no output at all and nothing happens*. beryl-manager starts, but when I do a "select window-manager -> beryl", the borders etc flicker a few times and then my metacity theme returns.
Since I don't have any output, where can I start? Has anyone seen this before?

You should try
Code: | # emerald --replace & |
http://forum.beryl-project.org could be another place to get Beryl Specific help.
You may even need to kill off old emerald and beryl-manager tasks. _________________ 2.6.18-gentoo-r1 x86

Thanks, I found the answer on those forums. The answer is, I was using Xinerama. Don't, use Twinview instead. |
