Due to the recent addition of the experimental overlay, I've decided to reorganize the overlay. Instead of the overlay only containing the portage overlay files, I've added two branches. The experimental branch described in the previous post, and the trunk branch which contains what used to be in the overlay. This makes it much easier for me to maintain.

As soon as layman file is updated, you need to follow: http://wiki.gentoo-xeffects.org/Overlay#Update_the_XEffects_overlay_for_the_new_layout

You must not have the xeffects overlay... These instructions are for current users only. If you are 100% positive you have it, are you sure you manage it with layman?

Actually I don't think it's the right place to post it, but it has to go somewhere, and I'm sure, somebody looking in this thread will redirect it to the proper place.
There seems to be a problem in the svn-ebuilds (x11-wm/beryl-core, x11-plugins/beryl-plugins ...)
The svn-uri didn't work (yesterday evening at least) so, it has to be modified to look like this:
Code:

ESVN_REPO_URI="svn://svn.beryl-project.org/beryl/trunk/${PN}"

Thank you for posting it in the right place if you know where it belongs to or are the maintainer of this package.

It was fixed earlier than yesterday evening... At least my time.

yep, sorry.
I didn't update the overlay yesterday, just noticed that the svn-address wasn't the same any more.
I should have checked the overlay. Never mind.

well, I updated like you said, then I did :

Code:

punkcpu ~ # emerge -av bdock

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild  N    ] x11-misc/bdock-9999  USE="dbus" 0 kB [2]

Total: 1 package (1 new), Size of downloads: 0 kB
Portage overlays:
 [1] /usr/local/portage
 [2] /usr/portage/local/layman/xeffects

Would you like to merge these packages? [Yes/No]

>>> Emerging (1 of 1) x11-misc/bdock-9999 to /
 * checking ebuild checksums ;-) ...                                      [ ok ]
 * checking auxfile checksums ;-) ...                                     [ ok ]
 * checking miscfile checksums ;-) ...                                    [ ok ]
>>> Unpacking source...
 * subversion check out start -->
 *      repository: svn://svn.beryl-project.org/beryl/trunk/bdock
svn: Impossible de se connecter à l'hôte 'svn.beryl-project.org': Connexion refusée
