|
|
So I'm reading if I compile Fluxbox with KDE support (which is done) I can use kde 'dockets' or 'miniapps' in the slit. I'm assuming this refers to kicker apps? Kicker apps seem to be compiled as libraries though. So how do I use them in the slit? |

Quote: | 15. Is there KDE support?
Yeah, use the configure option --enable-kde. This ensures that KDE tray icons will appear in the slit. |
That is from the Fluxbox FAQ. I'm not sure if "tray icon" is the same as kicker applet, especially if the latter doesn't provide an executable and only libraries. _________________

I have also seen this. But I have seen the term 'kde-miniapps' used as well. There is no clarification anywhere I look. That is why I'm asking here. If it just means kde application icons that would otherwise be in the systray are in the slit, well this is boring then. |

I don't think they are the same. The fluxbox toolbar provides a systray area for systray icons. The slit is seperate from that. _________________

Yes, I mean if it does something like showing kde systray icons in the slit or something..
Anyway on the fluxbox website it says Quote: | Also, if you have KDE support enabled, KDE dock applets will appear in the slit. |
http://fluxbox.org/docbook/en/html/chap-slit.html
So I was wondering what KDE dock applets were. |
