I've been trying to get a complete PIC development kit to run on my gentoo installation and it's been a long road but now i have the programmer working and a good piece of software to develop the code.
But, i haven't got gpsim to work correctly yet.
It seems like since i have my locale set to sv_SE gpsim can't find a font that supports all the special characters.
Code: | gpsim> SimulationMode:52
The font "Courier Roman 14" does not support all the required character sets for
the current locale "sv_SE.utf8"
(Missing character set "ISO8859-1")
(Missing character set "ISO8859-1")
(Missing character set "JISX0208.1983-0")
(Missing character set "KSC5601.1987-0")
(Missing character set "GB2312.1980-0")
(Missing character set "JISX0201.1976-0")
(Missing character set "ISO10646-1")
The font "Courier Bold 14" does not support all the required character sets for
the current locale "sv_SE.utf8"
(Missing character set "ISO8859-1")
(Missing character set "ISO8859-1")

you can have more than one locale installed. I have spanish, italian, german, and english and they all coexist without problem. Are you running just one locale? |

Okay, now i have managed to get en_US and sv_SE but still gpsim complains.
Seems like the font gpsim isn't compatible with something but i can't figure out what...
I've tried to use a non UTF8 locale as well but no progress...
Could it be that my fonts are bad for some reason? |

nickeh, that I look into your error let me ask you. What about changing your font to a font that fully supports your locale? I'm not sure if the problem is the console font or the font that gpsim uses. If it is in the console, try with something else there. If it is in gpsim there must be a configuration option in gpsim to change the font. You may wanna also pots something in the gpsim list, someone there must what is exactly causing the error. |
