how not to build all video drivers [fixed]

In my work machine I just swapped out a 9700pro firegl for a gf4 4400. Nice way to dramatically lower power usage and heat.

Anyways, I just got around to trying to fix my use flags and now all of a sudden every single one of the video drivers wants to build.
I don't care, I just want the nv driver.

Set VIDEO_CARDS="nv" in make.conf

Any pointers (links) on how to manage the video driver use flags for xorg? What's the flavor this week?
