I have two machines with contact lists that I want to keep syncronized. The first machine is at work, and it uses Microsoft Outlook (sadly). The other is my laptop at home, which is running Thunderbird for e-mail. I'd like to find the best way to keep them syncronized. Here's a few points:

- Machines are not on the same network.
- Both machines have 'net access and I don't mind I have to visit a website occasionally.
- A PDA is not an option in this case (I have a blackberry...but it's using an exchange server exclusively...and syncing at home breaks the functionality)
- I would like some sort of conflict resolution - but this isn't strictly required.

If it's your company Kolab, an Outlook connector for Kolab and SyncKolab may work. If it's not your company, you better ask your boss, if you're allowed to sync contacts with your home box. Perfect reason to get fired.

Kolab looks like a potentially perfect solution. Unfortunately...I don't have a dedicated IP at home, and I won't have access to install the server at my office. Sadly...don't know that this solution will work with my resources.
