QT Version - Way to tell which is being used?

  • Quote

Post by Slinger » Sun Oct 29, 2006 8:54 pm

I have QT3 and QT4 on my system. However, on some emerges I get kdelib issues because it states that the version of qt being used is not that which was compiled when kdelibs was compiled. Is there an active way to switch which is being used, or must I unmerge QT4?

Sorry for the noob question ;)

As I posted [topic=500696]elsewhere[/topic], the script offered by ecatmur [topic=142475]here[/topic] would seem to be apropos.

Whoever merges this topic with the former of the topics linked above, please delete this post.

I think both threads cover different topics, this is about having two QT versions living side-by-side, the other about removing one of them.

Current KDE always uses QT 3. QT 4 will be the base for future ones. There should be no need for a switch or unmerging.

For your problem, you could try to re-emerge kdelibs (although that is revision-bumped quite frequently) or post some more of your emerge output.
