Hi,
I wanted to install flash on my firefox. Some where I read that I have to do this chroot thing . I did it. But still the flash does not work in the 32 bit firefox. infact, it crashes every now and then. Also, it crashes every time i open a flash enabled site. Now anyone please either tell me how to get flash working on firefox or linux or tell me how to undo the chroot thing. I am actually fed up with this amd64 gentoo.
Thanks in advance

Enter "about:plugins" in Firefox and find out the filename of the plugin.
Find that file (e.g. "find /opt -iname libflashplayer.so") and remove it.

This will remove the plugin from Firefox.

I also did the same. But here is what I got :
First of all, there is an option for firefox as well as firefox-bin, which should not be, since I have not emerged firefox. only firefox-bin should be there.
Also, when I open a flash site in frefox-bin, it crashes, as shown below:
Code:

localhost brahm # firefox
firefox      firefox-bin
localhost brahm # firefox-bin
No running windows found
Removing /root/.mozilla/firefox/a754wdww.default/compreg.dat leftover from older firefox
Removing /root/.mozilla/firefox/a754wdww.default/XUL.mfasl leftover from older firefox
The program 'firefox-bin' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
  (Details: serial 102 error_code 8 request_code 147 minor_code 3)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
firefox-bin exited with non-zero status (1)
