From LaCie http://www.lacie.com/support/drivers/index.htm download LightScribe Host Software and LaCie LightScribe Labeler for Linux. Next rpm to targz - rpm2targz [name of rpm]. Copy all files for the same folders as they are visible in unpack targz archives. Software is dedicated to x86. My PC is amd64. When I have started up 4L-gui it did not see my LiteOn sohw-16h5s. I have solved this problem by copying files (dedicated to /usr/lib) not only to /usr/lib but too /usr/lib32 and now it is started up on my amd64 computer. 4L-gui must have root privileges to burn lightscribe label.
Sorry for my english.

New Easier way with layman from Dev wschlich here. https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-350661-postdays-0-postorder-asc-highlight-lacie+lightscribe-start-50.html

I don't have an amd64 machine myself, thus I cannot test the amd64
multilib thingy and that's the reason I didn't already implement something like
that what's contained in the app-cdr/nero package.
I plan to add those packages to the official Portage tree soon, so
I'd be very happy to receive feedback from you, especially regarding
solutions for amd64.
You can use my "testing" overlay with layman like this:
Code: | layman -S
layman -a wschlich-testing |

I tried with the above-mentioned ebuilds on my amd64 machine . Worked great for me, many thanks. I have added for ebuilds ~amd64 flag instead of -amd64. I own presently LG GSA-H22L - firmware v.1.02. 4L-gui still needs root privileges to burn lightscribe label.
