For some reason the configure script fails some tests and doesn't compile with opengl support.
I use the nvidia (beta) drivers. Anyone using this combination been able to compile wine? |

Could you be more specific? What version of wine and the driver, what does your emerge --info look like? What's the exact error?
I can't seem to find relevant reports in the Bug database. _________________ Please provide detailed tracebacks and your emerge --info when posting compile errors.

Yes, I have wine-0.9.23 with opengl USE flag set. No problem compiling it. _________________ "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln

Most likely you're being hit by a bug in the nvidia-drivers ebuild from a week or so ago where it wouldn't install the 32-bit libraries. It's been fixed, so sync if you haven't done so recently, then remerge nvidia-drivers. |

It seems it was that, sorry for the vague question, normally i just file bugs. But i didn't have the time to gather all the needed info again and i was already very frustrated. But thanks for the reply. |

I'm also having trouble emerging wine with opengl support. I have opengl in the USE flags, latest nvidia drivers (just synced), direct rendering is set to Yes, and I am able to play opengl games (nwn, bzflag, etc.). However wine does not work with opengl (-opengl switch, or otherwise). I have this problem with WoW.
When I try to download the sources and complie manually, it gives me:
Code: |
configure: WARNING: Wine will be build without OpenGL or Direct3D support
configure: WARNING: because something is wrong with the OpenGL setup:
configure: WARNING: No OpenGL library found on this system.
|
I did the opengl-update and eselect thing. Same error when trying to configure. Any ideas?
System Info:
wine-0.9.23/24
2x amd64 (244s)
nvidia-drivers-1.0.9626
X Window System Version 7.1.1
2.6.18-gentoo-r1 #1 SMP PREEMPT |

I would try:
Which is the ebuild referred to by /usr/portage/virtual/opengl/opengl-7.0.ebuild |
