[SPEECH SYNTHESIS] Franfest or festival in french

Hi,

I opened a bug about festival and the franfest (french voice) module (Bug #152652)

If you are interested to hear gentoo speak in french you are very welcome to try that new version (app-accessibility/festival-1.95_beta-r2) until festival 1.96 will be released.
There are still some minor problems: java and python wrappers were not well tested and surely aren't working at all, some tests doesn't work for examples when they imply utt.

If you get,

$ echo Parlez-vous français | festival --language french --tts
Phone "�" not member of PhoneSet "sampa_fr"
Phone � not in PhoneSet "sampa_fr"

you will need iconv to convert it in iso8859

$ echo Parlez-vous français | iconv -f UTF-8 -t ISO_8859-1 | festival --language french --tts
(with the best french female voice you can ( woman are advantaged ), say: "Parlez-vous français?"

That's better !
