So heres the whole story.
I set up my gentoo installation over at my friends place using one of my schools computers. The connection was fine over there but as soon as i brough it back and changed some settings (ip gateway etc) there was no access to anything. I tried to ping sites...nothing i tried to lynx to sites and nothing...when i ping i get unknow host...weird.
I changed all my nameservers and ip settings and no go. i know this connection works also because i am using it right now to email you from another computer.... any thoughts on how i might fix this??? |

My two cents:
Does /etc/resolv.conf show the correct nameserver?
Does /sbin/ifconfig return sensible values for your network?
Does /sbin/route show something reasonable? |
