Runlevel problems...

Hi!

After changing from sysklogd to metalog I always get the message

PROVIDE: it usually is not a good to have more than one service provide the same virtual service (logger)

and some runlevel scripts still want sysklogd started instead of metalog. I have unmerged the sysklogd and then emerged metalog, and added metalog to the default runlevel.

I also have a problem with sysinit afetr my system crashed one time:

INIT: version 2.84 booting
rm: cannot remove '/var/lib/init.d/failed/cupsd': read only filesystem
rm: cannot remove '/var/lib/init.d/failed/vcron': read only filesystem
ERROR: runlevel sysinit does not exist; exiting...

My system runs though, but this doesn't look nice on booting.

Have you removed sysklogd from the default runlevel?
