Whenever I run doom3, I get this error:

Ah nevermind.
If you emerge doom3-data, it will generate the default.cfg
I, on the other hand, tried just copying the *.pk4 files. NOT GOOD ENOUGH :O

| Look at /usr/portage/games-fps/doom3-data/doom3-data-1.1.1282-r1.ebuild - there is no mention of default.cfg, but there is mention of specific pk4 files. You probably didn't set the file permissions on *.pk4, or copy all the pk4 files that are specified in the ebuild. |

No, I figured it out, you need to emerge doom3, mount the discs, then emerge doom3-data.
