|
Hi!
Just wondering if it is as simple as:
emerge -Cp evolution
and then
emerge evolution-1.2.4.ebuild
Will this work or will I end up with a ton of unused files?

-C will simple uninstall THAT ebuild, so emerge -C evolution will remove the current version of evolution and the dependacies u had to merge for evolution won't be uninstalled.
Now in your case u want to downgrade evolution so just stick with Code: | emerge -C evolution
emerge evolution-1.2.4.ebuild

emerge -Cp does same as emerge -p packege show dependecies but I never saw any other dependacies uninstalling besides the one I choosed to _________________ sys0: Athlon64, Corsair TWINX DDR400 (1024mb), GeForce FX5600 256mb, 2x SATA MAxtor 120gig, Plextor 708a, Zalman cooling, Zalman powered, gnomed
