The Bug report is here
Looks like some 32bit emul libraries are out of date compared to the newer configuration files _________________ Routinely breaking NX, GNUstep, net-ftp, miscellaneous (llvm, filezilla, rdesktop, chromium, ...) packages |

Can someone on ~x86 upload a copy of their x86_32 "/usr/lib/libfontconfig*" files?
/usr/lib/libfontconfig.a
/usr/lib/libfontconfig.la
/usr/lib/libfontconfig.so -> libfontconfig.so.1.1.0
/usr/lib/libfontconfig.so.1 -> libfontconfig.so.1.1.0
/usr/lib/libfontconfig.so.1.1.0
Seriously I've been having this problem for weeks now on ~amd64 and it's still not
fixed and it makes wine apps (which are all 32-bit) run like total shit. _________________ 2.6.35 / Gnome 2.30

Hum I had almost forgotten that this was still not fixed (the bugreport is not exactly 'lively'), since I brought in the 32bit libfontconfig from my ~x86 chroot a few weeks ago.
I've made a tarball for it (and libxml2 which it links too), if you want to try My chroot is set to i686-pc-linux-gnu, "-march=k8 -msse2 -msse -O2 -pipe" for CFLAGS. You can find it here:
http://cafarelli.fr/gentoo/fontconfig-emul-x86-2.4.1.tar.gz
For me googleearth and mplayer-bin work fine again since then! And openoffice builds natively now _________________ Routinely breaking NX, GNUstep, net-ftp, miscellaneous (llvm, filezilla, rdesktop, chromium, ...) packages |

| Has anybody on a purely 32bit system experienced this bug? My system is a 32bit-only Pentium4, and I'm experiencing the same fontconfig warnings. Of course, I do not have emul-linux-x86-xlibs installed, so there's no chroot business for me to worry about. Since 80-delicious.conf isn't from any existing emerged package I have (from equery), is it save to remove this file? |
