export PS1="(chroot) $PS1"?

PS1 is the variable that stores what to display at your prompt
so depending on what your PS1 is initially before running this, you will get different result.

basically it puts the (chroot) string in front of your prompt.
this helps you to remember that you are in a chrooted environment.
