im sure this topic is already on these forums but i just couldnt find it, so im asking again:

ive recently sync'd my portage tree (havent been using my gentoo for a while since ive started playing some online stuff in windows again) and after i tried to list the packages to be updated, i got this:

Quote:
[blocks B ] app-admin/eselect-compiler (is blocking sys-devel/gcc-config-1.3.13-r4)

now im not sure.. which of the two replaces the other one? is it like eselect-compiler is a gentoo replacement for gcc-config or vice versa?

thanks in advance 8)

It's a duplicate thread, already asked/answered. PLease, search before ask, I just copied "eselect-compiler blocks gcc-config" to quick search, and the second hit was:
