This may sound like a dumb question, but now that I have everything working so far, how do I install my hp photosmart 1115 printer. Other distros that I've used usually autodetect it and install it. How do I get it working? I am using KDE as a GUI and it doesn't show up in the printer manager which I assume means that I have to configure it.

I have an hp printer too, so just read that documentation, and if you have any questions about it after you read it, don't be shy to post. I might even be able to help you out (But don't count on it though, i've got enough problems of my own) Your main point though for hp printers is to use the hpijs driver in portage, but read more on it in the documentation. Thats why its there. |
