I, I have an ASUS M6Ne, with a Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet card and an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG wireless card. Last time I installed gentoo, it detected both: eth0 and eth1, but now it doesn´t... Should it detect anyway or is something missing in the kernel?I've already compiled it with all Broadcom drivers I've found and nothing...Can someone help me?

Thank you

While looking once again to the listed drivers in the kernel menu, I found the driver to my Broadcom NetXtreme card, it was in the 10000 Mbit section (I was looking in 10/100). I´ve recompiled the kernel and now it detects eth0, wich works perfectly. With an internet connection I could finally emerge ipw2200 (driver for my Intel/PRO wireless 2200bg card), but there still is no eth1 like before. Maybe I was using a driver from the kernel menu and thougth it was ipw2200 in last installation, I don't now...

In my last gentoo installation I had everything working (it took me arround 6 months and when my dvd drive got screwed, ASUS guys thought it would be good to format my hdd...), but now I don´t understand why gentoo doesn´t detect my wireless card as eth1... I've already emerged ipw2200, all went just fine, but there simply is no eth1... Last time I installed gentoo, I chose some net drivers to compile into the kernel (the ones you can choose from gentoo) and it imediately detected eth0 and eth1, I didn't even had to install ipw2200, but I thought it wasn´t working because I didn´t know how to use iwconfig... So I installed ipw2200 and found somewhere in the net how to put it to work. Some days after I installed wpa_supplicant and could connect to my university wireless net (with authentication, certificates in the middle of it, everything...).I don´t know how to solve this...I´ll try to compile all net drivers gentoo provides into the kernel and see if eth1 is detected...
